About me

Hey there, my name is Dave and I'm an illustrator and character design artist.

I am a big kid at heart with a silly and upbeat energy about me most of the time. I also have two little kids at home who serve as the main recipients for a lot of my personal work which might explain why the majority of my work is centred around cute cartoons, lots of talking animals and maybe one too many dad jokes - it's simply what I know.

I typically create art that makes me smile or giggle and I've found that this style of work is generally received well by younger audiences as well. I'm not sure what that says for my maturity level or sense of humour but it's what I enjoy and it keeps my kids happy so I'm sticking with it.

My professional work to date has included children's book illustrations, character design, custom wall art, business logos, and personal commissions (stickers, prints, cards, etc.). I am currently not represented by a publisher and work independently on all projects.
